To provide current information and skill enhancement to Competent Professional Authority (CPA) utilizing participant-centered services and counseling techniques in the Illinois WIC program.

Additional Information

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the WIC Program policy and procedure requirements for participant-centered services (PCS)
  • Demonstrate the use of counseling skills to encourage behavior change
  • Incorporate participant-centered services with WIC food benefits education and referrals

Meeting date and location:

  • Region 1: 8/26/2022: Coordinator will join using WebEx online platform. Staff must have a computer workstation with speakers at minimum and prefer to have microphone capability or access to a direct phone line to fully participate in training.
  • Region 2: Coordinator will join using WebEx online platform. Staff must have a computer workstation with speakers at minimum and prefer to have microphone capability or access to a direct phone line to fully participate in training.
