DESCRIPTION:Dietitians\, Nutritionists\, Nurses who hold the title of Competent Professional Authority (CPA) in the Illinois WIC Program.\n\n\nCourse Length: Online\nClass Times: 09:00 AM – 12:00 PM\n\n\nCourse Description: The Intro to PCC training has been updated and renamed ‘Using VENA to Guide WIC Services.’   This is a requirement for staff that certify participants to attend after obtaining 6 months of WIC experience. \n\nPerformance Objectives \n\n\nUpon completion of the course\, participants will be able to: \n\nDemonstrate effective participant centered counseling techniques by using open-ended questions\, affirmations and reflective listening to guide conversations\nApply the principles of VENA to conduct strength based\, collaborative and individualized assessments tailored to participants unique needs and preferences\nUse behavior change strategies to support participants in setting realistic health goals\n\n\n\nSpecial Instructions\n\n\n  \nBy registering for this training\, I certify I will complete and enrure the following before attending the live training: \n\nWatched the following four pre-recorded webinars\, completed the associated pre-work activities and print/access the Using Vena to Guide WIC Services Workbook to follow along during training.  This takes approximately 2 hours to complete.\nPre-recorded webinars\n\nPart 1: Introduction (18 minutes)\nPart 2: Webinar: Assessing Protective Factors and Nutrition Risks (20 minutes)\nPart 3: Sensitive Topics and Topics for Nutrition Services (21 min)\nPart 4: Family Assessments and Moving from Assessment to Nutrition Services (15 minutes)\nPrework included in Using VENA to Guide WIC Services Workbook\n\nActivity: 1A Focus on Strengths\, Not deficiencies (8 minutes)\nActivity: 2B Probing for Further Information (5 minutes)\nActivity: 3A Crafting Strong Affirmations (5 minutes)\nActivity 4A: Avoiding the Expert Trap (5 minutes)\nActivity 5A: Asking About Sensitive Topics (8 minutes)\nActivity: 6A Connecting the Dots (5 minutes)\nActivity: 7A Family Based Springboard Questions (8 minutes)\n\n\n\n\nAttendance for the entirety of the training and participation throughout this training are required to receive a certificate of completion. SUMMARY:Breast & Cervical Cancer Cornerstone
DESCRIPTION:State and local agency personnel working in the Breast & Cervical Cancer program. \nRegistration for each course closes one week prior to the class date. \n\n\n\nCourse Length 2 days\nClass Times 09:00 AM – 04:30 PM\n\n\nCourse Description \n\nPurpose: To provide training on Cornerstone data entry for the IBCCP. \nThis training will provide a “hands-on” approach to the Breast & Cervical Cancer functions within the Cornerstone software system. The course includes: Client Enrollment\, Breast & Cervical Cancer Data\, Service Provider Selection\, Procedure Specific Data\, Case Notes\, Procedure History Inquiry\, Assessments\, and Reports. \nVirtual training: The first half of the training day contains the instructional portion of the training and the second half of the day comprises independent data entry assignments with technical assistance available. All assignments must be accurately complete during the assigned time \n\n\n \nPerformance Objectives\n\n\nUpon completion of the course\, participants will be able to: \n\nDemonstrate proficiency in enrolling a new client on the Cornerstone system\nEnter medical information from the client’s health assessment\, Physician’s Visit Summary Sheet\, mammogram report\, pap smear report\, abnormal breast screening follow-up report\, and the abnormal cervical screening follow-up report\nProperly enter data for referral or scheduled appointments for Breast & Cervical Cancer screening and diagnostic follow-ups\nObtain report information on Breast & Cervical Cancer clients follow-up history\, network of providers\, billing and client demographics\nEnter billing information\n\n\n\nSpecial Instructions\n\n\nPrior to this training\, all participants must complete the IBCCP Policy and Procedure Manual Training. \n\nFor the greatest benefit from the training\, it is preferred the participant work in the program for at least one month\nBy registering for this training\, I certify I have completed the above mentioned training.\nIn order to receive a certificate of completion\, you must attend both days and complete the assigned training scenarios.\n\n\n\nCourse Code CT – Cornerstone\nTrainer(s) Mina Caban\, Instructional Designer\n\n\nTraining Type Cornerstone
