DESCRIPTION:This course is specifically designed for new local agency staff working in a management capacity within the WIC Program.\n\n\nCourse Length 3 days\n\nDay 1: Tuesday\, May 5th\nDay 2: Tuesday\, May 12th\nDay 3: Wednesday\, May 20th\n\nClass Times 09:00 AM – 12:00 PM\n\n\nCourse Description \n\nProvide guidance on the responsibilities of a WIC Coordinator\, to ensure compliance with WIC program policies and federal regulations at the local agency level. \n\n\n \nPerformance Objectives\n\n\nUpon completion of the course\, participants will be able to: \n\nIdentify the WIC program polices and USDA Federal Regulations\, working in the role as a WIC Coordinator.\nApply WIC Coordinator responsibilities and activities per state policies.\n\n\n\nSpecial Instructions\n\n\nBy registering for this training\, I certify I have completed and agree to the following: \n\nThis training is offered in 3 consecutive weekly sessions\, each lasting 3 hours\, in additional to independent activities assigned between sessions\nContacted RNC regarding suggested timeline for completion of training; 3-4 months in the WIC Coordinator role is typically recommended prior to attending this training.\nNew WIC Coordinator Orientation Checklist – all items apart from New WIC Coordinator Training Days 1\, 2 and 3 (this training currently being registered for). This includes completed orientation checklists for Frontline\, CPA\, (and BFPC if applicable). Orientation checklists are to be completed within six (6) months of starting the WIC Coordinator role.\nAccess to equipment and a training environment conducive to remote-based (online) training\n\nComputer with stable internet connection\, camera\, microphone\, speaker/audio output (or headphones if within open work area) and a quiet space to focus on training and avoid interruption while attending the training\n\n\nCompleted the ‘New WIC Coordinator Responsibilities SSM’ as part of orientation checklist and familiar with WIC policy and related resources\nAttendance for the entirety of the training and participation throughout this training are required to receive a certificate of completion and continuing education credit. DESCRIPTION:State and local agency personnel working as Navigator(s) with the Better Birth Outcomes – Comprehensive (BBO-C) & Better Birth Outcomes – Navigation (BBO-N) Programs. \nRegistration for this course closes one week prior to the training date. \n\n\n\nCourse Length 1 day\nClass Times 09:00 AM – 04:30 PM\n\n\nCourse Description \n\nPurpose: To enable the learner to have the knowledge and skills required to meet program standards in the policies\, practices and procedures of the Better Birth Outcomes programs. This virtual and/or in-person training is designed to give new program navigators an overview of the program and cover each step of the services provided: client identification or outreach; assessment; service planning and resource identification; linking clients to services and coordination; monitoring services; advocacy and evaluation. \n**Attendees are required to complete 3 web-based modules prior to the face-to-face portion of the training.** \nPlanner: Renee S.
