Demonstrate an understanding of what current research tells us about bruising and the role of implicit in overreporting families of color

Discuss the TEN-4-FACESp bruising clinical decision rule, its meaning, and relevance

Describe the medical and DCFS definitions of neglect, what constitutes neglect, and when neglect becomes maltreatment

Describe how implicit bias can be involved in the determination of child abuse and neglect

Have a conversation with a caregiver about a bruise to assess accidental from intentional bruising
