The National Nutrition Certification Program (NNCP) is an online training course designed and approved for state and federal government employees teaching nutrition education in local communities. NNCP is provided by the SNAP-Ed program in Utah known as Create Better Health, and it is administered through the Utah State University Extension program.

**After completion, reimbursement may be requested. Email receipt of payment, W9, Title of staff member (CPA or CPAA), and verification of completion to the CHTC @ mmurphy@springfieldul.org
After successful registration an email will be sent to you with log in instructions. If this is your first course through USU, you will receive an email from Instructure Canvas with information on how to create your account. You have two options for completing the training:
Option 1: Completing All 14 Lessons (to earn the NNCP Certificate of Completion)
- The NNCP Certificate of Completion is optional. To earn it, you must complete all 14 lessons.
- Each lesson includes a quiz. You must score at least 80% to proceed to the next lesson. You may retake any quiz as many times as needed to pass.
- Submit your NNCP Certificate of Completion to your supervisor to include it in your WIC orientation records.
Option 2: Completing Only Required Lessons for Illinois WIC Specialized Nutrition Training
- Recognizing that some lessons are advanced and may not pertain to your role in Illinois WIC, only lessons 1, 2, 3, 12, 13, and 14 are required for specialized nutrition training.
- Each required lesson includes a quiz. You must score at least 80% to proceed to the next lesson. You may retake any quiz as many times as needed to pass.
- Your supervisor will confirm your completion of the required lessons and quizzes to include in your WIC orientation records.

Using the link below, complete the evaluation after completing each required lesson to provide feedback on the training.
If you completed all 14 lessons, there is also an evaluation for optional lessons.
