Mr. Flippins came to the FOC in September 2019. Although he attended our in-person workshops and counseling, he was inconsistent with attendance. However, that started to change just before the COVID-19 pandemic forced us to transition our service model. Tragically, in March of 2020, Mr. Flippins brother died, causing his engagement to decrease. Eventually, Mr. Flippins re-engaged with our program in February of 2021. We worked with him weekly to continue financial counseling and to help him attain his goals.
Today, Mr. Flippins has opened his first bank account and is working towards his GED.
