The Springfield Urban League’s Early Head Start (EHS) and Head Start (HS) Home-Based programs marked the end of a successful program year with a celebration filled with joy, laughter, and community spirit. Families gathered at Chuck E. Cheese to enjoy a night dedicated to fun, reflection, and recognition.
The children, joined by their families and supported by the dedicated EHS/HS staff, delighted in exploring the vibrant play spaces, engaging in games, and simply enjoying the freedom of childhood.
A highlight of the evening was the special recognition of children who are aging out of the program. These young learners were celebrated with warm congratulations for their growth and development during their time with the program. As they prepare to take their next steps, the Springfield Urban League is proud to have been part of their early educational journey.
The Home-Based program continues to serve as a vital resource for families in the community. Through weekly home visits, families receive personalized support in health, nutrition, and early education. The program also plays a critical role in supporting pregnant parents, ensuring that families are equipped with the tools and knowledge needed to foster healthy child development from the very beginning.
Here’s to all the small victories, shared moments, and the bright futures we’re building together — one child, one family at a time.
